Yes, the Axiflow pump can pump thick products with dynamic viscosities in excess of 1,000,000 cSt.
Yes. Axiflow can pump both thick and thin products with the same pump! The Axiflow Twin Screw pumps can handle the widest range of viscosities with the same pump. On thin, water-like products, we are able to overcome the slip in the clearances with pump speed.
AXIFLOW gives you flexibility. You can either use the pump as your CIP/CIP return pump to generate CIP velocities OR you can use your existing CIP system and clean through the Axiflow pump. Either way, the pump never has to be dismantled for CIP.
Axiflow pumps are both 3A and EHEDG certified.
AXIFLOW can delicately pump soft solids up to 1-5/8″ (45mm) in diameter
This depends on your product’s viscosity, pump speed, and pump size. Generally speaking, the Axiflow pumps can handle flowrates from 0.1 GPM up to 1,400 GPM. Pressure capabilities are based on screw pitch. Each pump size has up to six different screw pitches so maximum pressures can range from 175 PSI up to 350 PSI differential for the standard series pumps. You’ll need to contact us with this information for a more precise flow rate determination.
Is there much pulsation?
No. The product is moving axially through the pump without any major changes to the direction. Therefore, a long as the pump is not starved on the suction side, the pump will provide a virtually pulse-free delivery of product.
Yes. The Axiflow pumps are capable of Bi-directional pumping without damaging the pump. This can be achieved by reversing the direction of rotation or switching the screws.
Yes. Axiflow pumps can be run dry for an indefinite period of time as long as you have a flushed double mechanical seal. Other sealing arrangements also allow for dry running for extended periods of time.
